Blackout game? Iowa already tried that in '05. Maybe having the "blackout" occuring "in" the stands instead of "to" your starting QB will make a difference this time, but I doubt it.
Remember, the Syracuse game was a Gold Rush game, so I don't think that Iowa does this against only the super-significant opponents. Of course, with ISU being a rival, it will be fun.
A Hawk fan told me that Iowa's rivals were Ohio State and Michigan... But then when I met a Michigan fan, I asked him if Iowa was a rival and he just laughed, and said "about as much as Indiana is..." Nice to see a hawk actually admit it for once...

Doubt they were serious. I love it when Iowa beats UM/OSU, but if I had to rank the games in terms of which is most important rival games to me (and many other Iowa fans to win), it would be Minnesota, Wisconsin, ISU, and Illinois.

If this game is blacked out, will the Hawkeye fans grouped together in their double-wide luxury suites complain, or will they know the difference in how the game looks?

Soon to be 3-3 but .500 isn't bad.

My younger brother and his friends got in a little hot water with his HS administration for organizing a black out night at a basketball game (along with various other theme nights). They were told that having a blackout night (school's colors were black and gold) was racist/discriminatory/non-PC. There response? At the next home basketball game they had a had a white-out night.
That being said, I do think that the ____out games look really good, especially when everyone pulls them off. The Golden Rules game against NE a couple of years ago looked really impressive.

The only blackout ISU fans need to worry about is the blackout of not being able to see the game due to it being on the BTN. At least when it was in Ames last year it was on a station that most of the country has.

I think Mediacom has done an outstanding job stonewalling and not adding it to their regular programming so that every customer would have to pay for it. EIU fans need to quit crying about it and get out their wallet and pay for it if they want it so bad. I would cancel Mediacom in a heartbeat if I had to pay for that garbage channel.
