Honestly, that's like saying Bills fans stuck up for OJ....

"I just back into town and I hear all this stuff, and Buster Olney is making my team up now and [Genske] wants to tell me who is going to pitch here. No one is going to tell us who to put on our team and no one on ESPN is going to tell us who should pitch for my team. " -Gardy

I don't recall who it was but one of the players in a police interview that is quoted in the warrant something like and I AM PARAPHRASING if one of the guys was in that room with a girl there wasn't a question about what was going on.

Oct. 14th Rape occurs
Oct. 20th KF announces Everson and Satterfield suspended
Oct 23rd APPROXIMATE DATE (3 weeks before police interview when JK said he moved into room about 3 weeks ago) when Johnson-Koulianos says that he then Tillison moved back into room

NOV 5th UI police are finally involved in investigation
Nov 13th Search warrent says Johnson-Koulianos moved into the room "about three weeks ago"

These dates are taken from the interview cited in the search warrant docs and press citizen reports about players suspension.

Here's where my concern comes in. It appears that KF instructed Tillison to move back in right when he suspended Everson/Satterfield. As it's been pointed out before, KF's typical procedure is to let the legal process take course before suspending players. However, in this situation KF opted immediate suspension. The obvious question then is if KF thought it was serious enough to suspend immediately why weren't UI police involved until weeks after KF knew it to be so serious.

My next assumption is that KF would not suspend 2 players from a game without doing enough investigation to get the facts of what happened. Head football coaches don't suspend players from Conference Football games without having good reason. So, if KF knew it was serious enough to suspend the players he probably found out enough details to know where it happened. It was then that he told Tillison to move back into the room. There are 3 ways of looking at that. Either during his investigation he found out Tillison was not living where he was supposed to be and was dumb enough to have him move back into a crime scene because he didn't consider the problems with that. Another option is he wanted his team to no longer have a "sex room". Or finally, the worst scenario he wanted the room to be occupied in order to disturb/clean up/ otherwise contaminate the evidence.

I am personally hoping it was just KF trying to shut down the "sex room" and get his player living where he was supposed to be rather than the other options. The thought of anything more makes me sick even though it involves the team I love to hate.

I can't definitively say that there was any "university or athletic cover up" However, I can say there is enough there that demands police fully investigate the possibility to ensure there wasn't.
Very well done.

Actually, that's not at all how I read it - seems to be a level-headed fan. Yeah, I know - who'd a thunk it.

I think the point was the hypocritical nature of many fans - if the player is non-factor, off with their heads at the first sign of trouble. If the player is well known, contributes, etc - well, he was just being a college kid, give him a break.

That was the message he was sending - people talk out of both sides of their mouths depending on who the player is and not based on the offense.

In this case though, it would be very tough to do - you know - with the rape and all.

You could very well be correct in what the poster is intending with his comments. I read through it all pretty fast but I got the impression that he was sticking up for them by insinuating that she was leading them and questioning other facts about her credibility. It could very well be I have my cardinal and gold blinders on as well and won't give the guy the benefit of the doubt. I would be more impressed with his posts in the thread if he actually using your logic.
