The warrant documents also state that within days of the reported assault Iowa football coach Kirk Ferentz told Tillison to return to N207 to live and Johnson-Koulianos joined him.

This has to be before the search warrants were excuted and evidence collected, considering what DJK found and threw out. IMHO this KF has some explaining to do, basically sounds like he was trying to cover up something.

I'm completely speculating when I assume she's underage, but if she is, she was breaking the law as well. Not in the same severity as the other two morons, but her actions were a precursor to what happened. I'm not defending the other two at all, but she put herself in a bad situation by not having a friend with her and being hammered with a couple guys. I don't drink personally, but do hang around people who do and know better than to let a girl go by herself when she's drunk with guys around. The thought of this scares the living hell out of me, especially if I have a daughter 25 years down the road.

That's how I first learned about it, before any police reports. It was on a football players internet site in an almost bragging way. If some wonder why I seemed on a mission, it was the way it seemed to be handled. I contacted the both the Iowa City and DM newspapers about it, put the story on this site, communicated with other bloggers. My greatest fear was this was being swept under the carpet by the U of I, and I felt it deserved a hearing. I also contacted virtually all of the Board of Regents to bring it to their attention, and Bonnie Campbell, former Iowa Attorney General who's speciality is sexual assault assured me, they would look into it. Later, I was told they had hired two investigators to look into this and were very concerned.
I also am close to someone who had a similar thing happen in the past, it's a terrible thing. If I seemed on a mission against Iowa, that was not my motivation. Justice is what I'm hoping for.

Underage drinking and rape aren't quite in the same category. JC, I can't believe I just read that.

Another odd thing for me is Kirk having guys move into that room just days after the attack.

Please read the line after that. I said they aren't the same severity, but you can't analyze a situation from solely the effects. A situation has to be analyzed start to finish to formulate an accurate timeline of causes and effects. I have in no way, shape, or form defended Everson or Satterfield, but the girl herself, as someone stated earlier, was not perfect in her own judgement. Did she deserve what she got? God no! I wouldn't wish that upon my worse enemy, but to say the blame lies solely on the accused is absurd. She made an error in judgement, which was compounded severely by the guys. Nowhere did I say she deserved it, but from analyzing the situation, all parties involved made bad choices, a couple people much worse than others.

Kirk found out that Lance was not staying in his dorm room, and told him to return to staying in his dorm room, as is the way it is when you are a freshman.

So are you suggesting Kirk learned that a crime had taken place in this room, and then decided to send Lance and DJK to live there to help cover something up? That's quite an allegation and leap you are making.

I have a feeling more will come out of this. Something tells me that these two will tell all to save their hides and I think a lot of key people KF Barta and Pres Mason could see themselves in some deep poop, regents too for that matter.

I understand your point about being responsible for your actions and making good decisions.

HOWEVER - whether she's underage, drunk, high, or whatever, she didn't do anything that deserved or was at all a precursor to anything. That's like saying that a convenience store clerk is asking to get robbed, or that someone was asking to get murdered by living in a bad neighborhood. Just being in a social situation does not mean that you were begging to get raped. Also - having a girlfriend there isn't going to be much help if they just rape her, too.

If she was drinking underage, that deserves a penalty from the law, not a raping.
