I don't know why, but every single game I went to last year, including K-State at Arrowhead and A&M at College Station, I saw several people in Iowa gear. I don't get it. I've gone to a couple random games at Kinnick (Minnesota '05 and UNI last year) and I don't wear ISU gear. It's like there's this tough guy segment of the Iowa fanbase that has to represent in front of ISU fans to show 'em who's boss, or something stupid like that. I don't get it, and it annoys the hell out of me.

In case you don't believe me that we saw an Iowa fan in College Station, check this out.

4? WAY over that. Thursday game, and those douchebags feel the need to be exactly that. Its like the ********* I saw at the Royals/Yankees game wearing a Brewers jersey and hat.

This is more like it. It's a Thursday night game, when the Hawks aren't even playing. I know of at least 3 Iowa fans that are going just because, and one of them will for sure wear Iowa gear.

One of my very tolerable Hawk buddies went to Farmageddon last year and wore an Iowa hoodie the whole time. Now decrease tolerability and the fact that the game is within Iowa borders and you have a mess on your hands.

Both Iowa and ISU have students going there for one reason or another. BUT....if they were smart the would know their role and not wear iowa gear and ISU gear to the stadium..It tells alot about someone.

I've been to numerous games at Kinnick, aside from the Iowa-ISU games. I've never even thought to wear an Iowa State shirt to one of their games, even on the years that we have beaten them.

You're right though, I should have set it higher.

I have no problem with Iowa fans coming to that game, but I'd rather they were an NIU shirt than an Iowa shirt, you know? It makes them look like a ***** to a stranger.

Most of these people are of the tavern hawk variety. They lack class and intelligence. Most Iowa alum realize you don't parade around like a jack *** in someone else's house. This is why there aren't often isu gear at kinnick...most of our fans are alum, so less of the tavern fans to act ********.

They should just stop the people with hawk gear on at the gate unless we're actually playing Iowa. Just like they shouldn't let people wearing hawk/uni/husker gear sit in the student section when we're playing those teams.

Nothing will ever beat the 4-5 Jayhawk-clad people that sat in the courtside seats at Hilton for an ISU-KU game.

But back to the original theme...I ran into some hawk fans down in West End in Dallas one of the years the B12 Tournament was there. One of them was all ****** because the bartender wouldn't switch the TVs from B12 games to Iowa/Minn or whoever they were playing. Everybody else in the place had on some form of B12 team apparel.
