Intermat rankings are updated for the week. Some small changes for ISU. Moreno's strategy of "moving up by not wrestling" continues to be effective as he moves from 14th to 13th at 141. Harrington falls out of the rankings at 197 since it looks like he might miss the season, but at the least will be out until second semester, and Dane Pestano makes his first appearance in the rankings, slotting it to 19th at 165.

Nothing coming up this weekend officially, though it sounds like we'll have a few guys heading to an open tournament in Michigan. Wyoming and Northern Colorado coming up next weekend. #1s, Big XII, and state of Iowa guys below.

Hearing Cooper Moore may be done. Kid could never stay healthy. Defaulted out of Grand View Open after a match

Flo says he's done for the season. Though given how much he's dealt with injuries throughout his career I wonder if he wouldn't be able to get a medical redshirt if he wants it. He might just be ready to move on though.

I think that Intermat thinks that Weatherspoon underperformed during the season last year and hit his stride at NCAAs and Flo thinks Weatherspoon overperformed at NCAAs and will regress to the mean this year and that's why they are ranking him so differently at this point.

Intermat is basing the ranking off of one good weekend. Flo is considering the entire body of work. Flo is more accurate IMO. Take away one tournament and a blown up bracket and Weatherspoom is a top 20 guy, not a top 10 guy.

The Realbuto win was not because he was hurt. Realbuto got hurt at the end of that match. Lelund was controlling that match. But yes, Lelund had a heck of a tourney

Koll is on record saying realbuto was going to lose that match regardless of injury

Michigan just announced they're redshirting a couple of upperclassmen including current #5 Pantaleo at 149 and #8 Abounader at 184. The 149 one probably doesn't impact us much but Abounader taking the year off makes Downey's path to AA easier.
