Sub-leases are somewhat iffy in my experience, sometimes they work, sometimes they don't. My advice to a person wanting to sub-lease is offer the apartment below the actual price. It's better to get 80% of the money back from the sub-leaser, than to let it sit empty looking for full price.
Also, I know for sure Frederiksen Court and I believe The Grove have 6 month leases. They may not be prime apartments and may cost more than other places, but it could make your situation easier than trying to find a sub-leaser.
