I know this has been discussed before, but I've always been proud of the fact we bring in a lot of student-athletes who get the job done in the classroom too.

Pretty cool little stat form the Alumni e-Newsletter I got this morning, especially the part in bold.....

A cap-tossing stat
This year Iowa State posted a school record NCAA student-athlete graduation rate of 79 percent, which ranks seventh nationally among BCS schools and puts the Cyclones in some elite company. The top seven schools are Stanford, Boston College, Northwestern, Duke, California, Wake Forest, and ISU. "Only two public universities, California and Iowa State, are among the top seven schools," ISU athletics director Jamie Pollard said. "I think that fact speaks volumes about Iowa State University."

Excellent news always overlooked by far too many. I expect the new Academic Center will continue to benefit us with results like these.
