I hope you up and coming Ag students had a successful Ag Career Day and get a chance at the job/internship you want.

Here's some tips from the otherside of the conversation from today:

1. Know something about the company. Don't come up to some of the largest companies in the world and ask what the company does. That never goes well.

2. Have a resume. We want to look at it. Please spend more than one evening putting it together. Plain paper or plain resume paper. Not card stock. Please hold off on bright ink. If your resume is on sparkling paper...I have no words.

3. Guys facial hair is ok if it comes in even and is trimmed up.

4. To the freshmen who ask what you need to do to be considered in the future for more advanced internships that's a good plan. Yes, we will hold on to your resume and expect to see you there next year.

Good luck to all of you in your interviews in the coming days. Remember to ask questions.
