Where'd you get a gif of the average hawk fan's physique?

They show up on the news every so often.

While true and it shows a gap between our level and theirs I do think many here are unfair to him. He isn't a great coach, but he is definitely a good coach that will get them to the tournament more often than not likely.

I'll disagree with that but hopefully he's around a lot longer so we can see

Hawk fans just see a lot of seniors graduating on ISU's team, do they assume we don't have any new players coming in to replace them?

ISU's '17 recruiting class is the highest ranked in school history. 3, 4 star freshman coming in. And we still don't know who will get the remaining 4 scholarships. So, its still kind of early to make that claim that Iowa's roster is better than ISU's moving forward.

Two 4 stars and one 3 star.

Not sure why every single article says he's a 4 star according 247 then.

With all that said, why again is Iowa's roster much better going forward than ISU's?

Well to start with, ISU has 4 rides open to fill. At this point Iowa's roster is better.

Because they had **** for talent and had to play mostly freshman in year 7. They can only get better from here!

Not exactly sure.
When I went to look to see how many years Alford coached, I saw iowa was kicked out of the big ten once. I definitely say that's doing things right.

Using 247 ratings of 2017 rosters including current 2017 recruits. Excluded anyone without a rating the rosters break down like this, also excluded any transfers out.

Iowa
PG Avg Rating 0.8399 # 1
SG Avg Rating 0..835633 # 3
SF Avg Rating 0.888 # 2
PF Avg Rating 0.849833 #6
C Avg Rating 0.9258 # 1
Overall Avg Rating 0.857508 Total roster 13

ISU
PG Avg Rating 0.9165 #2
SG Avg Rating 0.87067 #3
SF Avg Rating 0.9291 #1
PF Avg Rating 0.8795 #3
Overal Avg Rating .893089 Total roster 9

I think I would prefer to be in ISU's position, with a more talented smaller roster. The ability to add talent now, or get some for the future. Iowa's roster will only get better by their growth. ISUs has the ability to get better by adding players.

Also of note, Iowa will have no senior that is worth a **** next year. ISU has Donovan Jackson.

Other notes, Young was a 0.8648 rating, he has already proven he can play at the B12 level. I don't know Iowa's roster well enough to know if guys are playing above their rating. Would guess a couple did since they approached getting to the Tourney with 6 freshman on the roster.
