Our local newspaper would always post an April fools article. The witness of whatever they said happened was always the same person, Lirpa Loof. One I remember was an alligator was spotted in the cedar River right outside of town. A handful of people always fell for it.

I told my mom today that I refuse to believe anything ever told to me on this day even say a passing in the family.

My grandmother died on April 1st, 18 years ago.

I was working retail at the time, and my manager on duty wouldn't let me leave to be with my family because she didn't believe I was telling the truth.
