ATLANTA – Iowa State senior guard Kelsey Bolte has been recognized as an All-Region nominee for the 2010 State Farm Coaches’ All-America Team, announced today by the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA). Bolte joins the list of 52 candidates, including seven from Region 5, which will be trimmed to 40 finalists when the selection committee meets on March 21. The 40 finalists will be in the running for selection to the 10-member State Farm Coaches’ All-America Team.
The Ida Grove, Iowa native was an unanimous selection to the All-Big 12 First Team after averaging 16.8 points and grabbing 5.1 rebounds per game. Her 18.6 points per game in Big 12 play ranked third in the league.
