Conference commitment (via Lew Perkins' press conference)

Came across this article and found this, which I had not heard anywhere else (FWIW):

The Big 12 schools signed an agreement to stay in the conference 10 years. If other things happen, it could be longer. Perkins says he has no reason to fear that any other Big 12 team will bolt on the league. All indications are that the teams are in the Big 12 for the long haul.

Umm, Perkins may not exactly be stepping down because it is his decision. Some shady stuff has gone on in the KU athletic department.

Its funny how Beebe never mentions this during his press conference. This seems like kind of a big deal to me. I wouldn't have been nearly as ****** off as I was if I knew this.

Seems to me there has been a concerted effort this time around to not leak all of the details and leave things vague.
