Disney partners with MGM and makes BetMGM a long time partner. In turn Disney buys the Mirage in Vegas from MGM which they just announced is up for sale. Then Disney makes it a semi family friendly resort with limited gaming and a huge sports area. But focusing on non gambling aspects of the resort. Especially as the A’s move to town and potentially an NBA expansion. Maybe even make it an ESPN themed hotel?

That actually makes a scary amount of sense. Combine a big sports book, one part Disney cruise ship/resort, one part espn sports zone (with a kid focus for those that have maybe outgrown the mouse), maybe make it smoke free, and throw in about 75% of the normal Vegas hoopla and now you've got a "Family Friendly" Vegas vacation.

The conflict of interest is massive. Their book needs more action on one side of the line? No problem. Have all our sports gambling shows tell everyone that's a great pick.

This. Look how ESPN drives the narrative for the SEC and B1G. Think they can influence a couple thousand bettors to go a certain way on a game? Better believe it.

Not only the sports gambling shows, they can slant the non-gambling pregame coverage to push the book in the desired direction. ESPN has been slanting coverage for years to achieve their goals...
