Saw this earlier today and kind of meh once you get past the headline

The shows won the awards, this was just ESPN getting extra trophies.
The best part is that they had someone take off the fake name and re-engrave the real person’s name before they gave it to them.

Definitely no way for ESPN to say they didn’t know what they were doing

Thanks, had no idea what the article was talking about.

I hate ESPN as much as anyone but the headline is doing a lot with a little here.

Lol at all the ESPN apologists. Shocking.
Meh. Call it what you want, but when the list is read, of ****** things for which ESPN can be accused, this one doesn't really rank all that high, to me.

Lol at everyone on CF who takes things out of context and blows them out of proportion just because they feel aggrieved.

Sounds like ESPN bent the rules to get some people who weren't technically eligible for the awards some hardware... even though, again, technically the rules forbade them for some reason.

Doesn't sound like the production team earned the Emmy in the first place, though.

This wasn't something like, say, an Oscar campaign built on bribery of the voters.

Why didn't ESPN just make their own bootleg trophies?
