I'm new around here and i had a few questions...

What are credits and how do they work?

What is the light/dark green bar in people's sidebar?

Thanks, CycoT

Welcome!

Credits are used for CyBookie (betting on events--strictly for fun)...

CycloneFanatic - CyBookie

Apparently there aren't any open bets right now.

The green bars are reputation. Say something smart, and you'll get rep.

Heck, just for joining and saying hi, I'll give you some free rep right now.

One way of looking at it is....light green you're cool. Dark green you're really cool.

The other is light green you're an average joe who's well informed and spend a little time following your team online. Dark green you are a nerd who spends waaaaayyyyy too much time online and has a unhealthy obbession of your favorite sports team.

Credits are earned by participating on the site: starting threads, posting, sending messages, etc. Jeremy has also been kind enough to give credits to all active members at different times.
