Very similar to us against UC-Davis, it sounds. When Kelly and Cole get back to 100%, Iowa should be decent. I think they will fare about how we do this year.

Is Cole ever going to be the same?

He's missed A LOT of basketball. Basically hasn't played since he hurt his leg. I believe he started getting back into things when school started, but wasn't involved in any summer leagues or anything.

Right now, it looks like Tate and Brommer are the main inside guys, with Cole kind of waiting it out. Jermain Davis is smaller, but he's a "defensive specialist" that should help out a bit.

I'm not expecting big things out of this team. I believe they'll be better than last year just on talent alone, but as we saw tonight, WAY too inconsistent. Shot 65% in the first half, and then had 11 turnovers and shot 45% in the second half.

BTW, the resurgence of Iowa and ISU basketball will finally help the winter season go by a little faster in this state :)

Up until you guys hit the Big 10 and we hit the Big 12. It's fun beating powder puffs right now, but I think when the heavy lifting happens both fan bases are going to get cranky.

If ISU's wonderful 3 point shooting continues could be a great equalizer for us...

Iowa will need Cole to be 100%. Tate will get into foul trouble and it will be curtains.
