They could sign the #1 player in the country, and it would barely catch my attention because I think so little of Bruce Weber.

Have you considered listing all coaches from the last 10 years that have won or shared a Big 12 regular season conference championship?

Weber is playing with a roster made up of his own recruits now. If the stars align and enough players stay 4 years instead of transferring he might have a team with enough on it at once to crack the Top 4 of the Big 12.
