Terrible shooting in this stretch. Sounds like they have been having all the breaks with great open shots.

Terrible shooting. Will this loss knock them out of NCAA tournament?

I'd like to think State will still get in. 7 point tourny loss to #24 KSU shouldn't hurt us too bad.

It shouldn't. KSU is a "good" loss (RPI #25) and most likely won't knock us out. Charlie Creme's latest bracketology had ISU better than the "last four in" group. I still think we're fine for a 10 or 11 seed.

It isn't supposed to. We were beat by a team that is easily in the tourney.

Only scoring 9 in the 2nd and giving up 29 in the 3rd isn't going to win you a lot of games. :(

The improvements in Durr's game over the last half of the season has been great see. Today she's driven to the hoop a couple of times and been taking those 15 footers. Combined with her usual 3 point ability and she's turning herself into someone that needs to be respected by an opponent.
She has improved, but I think she was damn good last year and early this year but for some reason CBF didn't give her much playing time.

Just brutal shooting by both teams; a key was K-State limiting Buckley's chances. Carleton just didn't have it.

She was bench and she was outside the two player bench limit. Not much more needs to be said.

What a contrast in coaching philosophy. Bill uses 7 players. Mittie uses 11. Mittie's top scorers both came off the bench.

Well, Kansas State's next loss is literally just hours away. I'll take some solace in knowing they should get stomped pretty good tomorrow. And that, most likely, they'll exit the NCAAs quickly as they've historically done (only one NCAA 2nd round win since the start of the Big 12).

On the contrary, I think Mittie is building something at K-State. They went 8-10 in the conference last year, improved to 11-7 this year. As a 9 seed beat 8 seed GW in the first round last season, then ran into #1 South Carolina.
They have more of an up-tempo free-wheeling offense (not just setting up in his triangle), and their scoring is up.
That being said, K-State certainly shot awful today, and were ripe to be beaten.
