Fanatics,
I just got word that Julie Vanloo WILL sign with Iowa State on Wednesday when the spring signing period starts. She will choose the Cyclones over offers from TCU, Miami and N.C. State, among others.
Vanloo - who hails from Belgium - is a talented point guard. In the U17 World Championships last summer, she averaged more than 17 points per game, pushing her team to a fourth-place finish.
While Vanloo will sign with Iowa State, it's still not a done deal that she will end up in Ames next fall. She is still deciding whether to play professionally in Europe or in college in the United States. The good news is that if she ends up in the States, it will most definitely be in Ames!
Here's a story I wrote on Vanloo after her visit to Iowa State in December.
