Just how good is the B12 in basketball?

Obviously we need to take care of what is in front of us......BUT, seems like the type of league where we could get help from someone else beating a team above us, etc. I always presume we could play a team 3 times (with the Big 12 tourney).....so at this point i'd rather win the league than the tourney (i.e. i'll take 1-3 vs KU if we get them in hilton)

The big 12 tourney will be apt tv this year.
