Seeing a lot of rumors about this. Who in their right mind thinks this is a good idea?

The reason would be that Kendal suffers from a lot of the same issues his dad does
Correct. Kendal was on staff at Baylor from 2008 to 2016, including as the OC in 2015 (the staff was dismissed in spring of 2016, before the season began). It's not clear how involved he was in the sexual assault cover-ups, but seeing as he was in a fairly high position on staff, and the son of the head coach, it is not unreasonable to think he may have had knowledge of what was occurring behind the scenes with members of the football team.

The argument in his defense appears to be that much of the covering-up occurred at the administrative level, and, to my knowledge, Kendal was not directly named in the Pepper Hamilton report. The university alo never stated who was responsible and who held blame for the cover-ups.

Whether it was/is Riley, Briles or whomever- Dykes will have a lot of input on TCU's offense. Briles probably makes a ton of sense based on style of offense and his Texas connections/roots.
