Jeremy,

I was just thinking about this. The CF logo in the upper left corner is nice, but there is a lot of whitespace in the middle of the top of the screen, at least when viewed on a desktop monitor, with the Google ads in the upper right. I realize that this space probably exists to meet the need of expanding/resizing browsers and portable devices. However, have you ever thought about making a real sharp, bad*** banner to extend across the top of the site? Some kind of Photoshop collage of current and former players, ISU campus, city of Ames, etc.? Lots of talented folks here might be able to chip in.

Just a thought. Discuss.

I've thought about it but I'm not terrific in Photoshop and I've yet to be able to make anything I thought looked clean and professional enough to put up there.

Simple is better. Take a look at Cyclones.com for an example of something that needs to be scaled back about 75%.

I agree, I just think something a little flashy might be nice. It doesn't need to be half the viewable page and shoot lights in your face like an exploding parrot, but something a little neat to jazz up the place visually might be a nice touch.
