Ya know what? I don't think he is half bad. Ya he was an ass of person as a player, but he knows his **** about baseball. Those catchers are usually good, just because the good ones are the smartest guys when it comes to the game.

Yah, he's talking a little too much but was expecting him to be worse. Not that bad.
I'm so happy the Braves got Bartolo Colon. He pitched a great game today, but he just pitches such an awesome style to watch. He gets the ball and goes. He doesn't mess around with the batters and just throws strikes. He hardly throws anything other than fastballs either. Why don't more pitchers pitch like him?
Another off day for the Yankees. I feel like this is really going to hurt them later because they ave had two in 5 days already.
Weird schedule. In April they play the Rays and Orioles six times each and have six games against NL teams. In May they have seven games against NL teams including the Cubs.
Yankees blow a 5-1 lead. Sigh, at least the 98 Yankees started 1-3 and ended with 114 wins plus a World Series.
Raise your hand if you called the Twins being the best team in baseball 5 days into the season...(crickets)
Starting pitching has sucked. Maybe Tanaka can show the guys it's okay to pitch more than 5 innings today. Looking forward to seeing how Montgomery will pitching in NY. Need a young pitcher (lefty) who can pitch and not just throw.
Hope it isn't six weeks DL like Didi Gregorius's shoulder strain. I think they are snakebit on injuries of late. Three starters out now with Bird who is missing the rest of the series with a bruised ankle. At least it isn't season ending stuff (yet).

So the Nats picked up Jeremy Guthrie today and he made his debut. He gave up 10 runs while only getting 2 outs. Has an ERA of 135.00. It's also his birthday.
Rox and Dbags are both playing very well to start the season. Can't believe how badly my Giants are doing so far - literally just awful. They've given up 36 runs in 6 games - against AZ and San Diego. They also managed TWO blown saves on day one last Sunday. Going to (maybe) be a long year. Maybe Oakland will play better than expected and still give me something to enjoy watching. It's a long season and things can change quickly in this game, but damn - this isn't the way I expected the season to start.
May Colorado continue to beat up on LA.
