I'm not sure of the cost. To do it properly, I doubt it comes cheap. I will take a wild guess and say $150-250 per helmet. I could be way off. An equipment specialist could chime in. Plus you would have the cost of removing the paint and refurbishing them during the off season. Or buy new ones.

And I tend to believe that our chrome helmets were painted on, due to the timing at the end of season. That and ordering a completely different factory colored new helmet will run over about $800 per, anymore, and they were only used twice.
Why weren't they used more?

My biggest question about uniforms this year. Is there a reason we cant buy a jersey that fits? Seriously watching CFB this year it appears most of the jerseys are so small they are restrictive even for the receivers etc, struggle to lift their arms.

And the ones for the lineman are comically small. Some of these guys I am not sure how they actually get them on their pads. 95% of the linemen have their bellies hanging out, because the jersey is so small. A lot of them where a much larger shirt under it to actually cover.

I am pretty sure a few of these guys have jerseys that are youth sized.

I’m confident the jerseys the players are wearing are perfect fits. No player wants a baggy uniform, in any capacity.

Im not saying baggy, Im saying fit. If its so small that you cant tuck it in and your gut hangs out it is too small or too short.

Some teams/players for sure dont have the issue, but some for sure do, lineman A jersey fits fine, lineman B not even close, on same team. Sometimes it is the entire team while the other teams fit perfect.

Maybe it is a certain brand, I havent paid that much attention to what brands it is.

For instance Montanas all seem to fit right, SDst not so much.

Although I have seen worse than todays.

The trend has probably been for the jerseys to be tighter vs. looser. Less for the opposing team to grab ahold of.

Or they could go back to tear away jerseys! That was fun. and probably a little expensive. Although I bet they only did those for the RB's, WR's, maybe QB's

Who is "we"?
We the people? Good point. As in, us and not so much the coaches and players, haha. [Although I'm pretty sure they like nice things/uniforms too.]

“We the People”

The most important phrase in the Preamble is “We the People,” which acknowledges that the Constitution is not the creation of a monarch or a ruling class, but rather the result of the collective will of the people. This phrase emphasizes equality, democracy, and the importance of consensus and unity. The phrase puts the power in the hands of the people – the citizens of the United States.

Watching the commanders. Imagine how good our white away unis would look if we brought back the cardinal isu helmet (with the star on the i) from the late 70s /
Early 80s.
