I think a couple years ago they tried to replace ol Luther with Vanessa Hudgens or some idol reject and there was major backlash. The cheesier the better IMO. Bring the velveeta Luth.

I wish our fight song wasn't so footbally, sounds stupid during basketball season or any other sport season.
Know what I miss. Way back in the early days of the Dance - early 80's- , the finale was always a review done to Whitney Houston's 'One Moment in Time'. Which is way better than CBS's lame, schmaltzy attempt to copy - and the lyrics don't even compare let alone the incredible vocals of Whitney
Apparently CBS didn't want to pay the price increase of the royalties to OneMoment. So Instead, they commissioned Shining Moment - like it was a jingle to a McDonalds commercial - and published their own song to avoid the royalties. Too bad it doesn't hold a candle.....
