The Iowa State women's basketball team (11-8, 3-5 Big 12) hosts No. 21 Oklahoma (14-5, 5-3 Big 12) Saturday, Jan. 30 at 1 p.m. in Hilton Coliseum. Saturday's game will air on FSN. The Cyclones have won six of the last eight meetings against the Sooners.

Talent: Rich Fellingham (PxP), Molly Parrott (Color)
TV: FSN - I'm getting it on Fox Sports Midwest
Talent: Bob Licht (PxP), Brenda VanLengen (Color)

The source of hope is that we have overachieved against OU. Also, we are so very close to being 6-2 instead of 3-5. It is Hilton where we are 8-2 and the Sooners are 1-3 on the road in conference play.

Shaya Kellogg and Maddie Manning are Iowa escapees who, I don't think, have ever hurt us, yet. Kaylon Williams 6'3" sr. 13.8 ppg; Peyton Little 5'11" jr. 12.2 ppg; Manning 8.7 ppg; and backup center Vionise Pierre-Louis 6'4" so. 7.8 ppg. Little scored 23 pts in the second half in a comeback win over WVU.

So sad to watch our NCAA streak slip away - a win today could stop that slide.

That 8 point lead disappeared pretty quick. But they're coming back now. 6 Minutes to cave in or take over.

Valiant, but a 13 point deficit in the 3rd doomed us - 77-71. Had chances in the last minute, but didn't happen. Kidd 1/6 for 3 pts. Jadda-16 Seanna-18 and Bridget-15 - great trio - all coming back. Emily didn't score in 2nd, but can't complain about her 10. Mere had 7, not bad against a pair of good post players.

You've got three players that score 15, 16, & 18 points and still lose. Others are just not picking up the slack. Blaskowsky just isn't producing. 3 points. 1 of 6 shots.

Don't understand why Durr who played so well in 1st half didn't see the court until real late in the 3rd - when OU went on the run.SMH

This team better get a win at KU or the wheels will really fall of this bus. Being behind the OU bench I can say their girls are just as obnoxious as their men's team. Girls at the end of the bench were standing most of the game and a few times were even on the court. I hate OU in all sports.

We noticed this all game also. Why weren't they told to sit the F down by the refs? And if they WERE, why didn't they? I have a hard time believing Coale doesn't care if her bench follows protocol on what is supposed to be accepted behavior during a game. I don't like that team or their fans, either, and take great joy whenever they lose a game to anyone.

The refs said something I think late in 3rd quarter and then Coale went over and said something to them. Still didn't stop them from standing. I think a technical on bench should of occurred.

Also don't understand why we didn't offer Manning?

I'm not sure of my memory on this one. I thought we had offered her, but she was set on going elsewhere. So I believe the offer was more of a courtesy to the local girl than anything else. There was little expectation she would accept. This was different from Nesbitt because there just wasn't the interest (or space for a guard) at that time. Again, I may not be remembering this all correctly as it was a number of years ago now (and I don't usually keep close tabs on people we don't get). But this seems to be what I recall.

The parents of her teammates on the Kingdom Hoops squad (the AAU team that she played on) have told me that ISU did not offer her.
