I started googling When is the last time… and immediately “when Iowa appeared in the sweet 16” popped up.” You know you are bad when that happens.

If I had to guess the 10:
Iowa
Nebraska
Northwestern
Minnesota
Rutgers
TCU(not totally fair since they've had half the time)
Cal
Arizona State
Georgia
Colorado
This seems right. I thought Boston college was one but they got there in 2005.

Minnesota really has no excuse to be this bad. Only show in the state and great recruiting grounds with the twin cities and Milwaukee close by

I think you nailed it.

Most-recent S16 appearance for each:

Nebraska (zero thru 2023)
Northwestern (zero so far, still has a shot this season)
TCU (1968) (reached Elite 8)
Colorado (1969)
Rutgers (1979)
Arizona State (1995)
Georgia (1996)
California (1997)
Minnesota (1997) (reached Final Four — vacated by NCAA)
Iowa (1999)

Guess how many there are. . . .

I count 10.

Now how many are in the big 10?

I count 5.

Now, Tell me again how the BIG isn't overrated dog ****.
It all comes to branding, which the big 12 needs to step up. Folks talk about big 10 football and basketball as some powerhouse , which the history in this century dosent show in the postseason.

If I'm counting correctly there are only 2 teams in the power 5 that have never made it to the sweet 16. Guess where they both reside.

Jamie Pollard and the committee needs to quit throwing teams like the Hoks and Illinois a bone. Okie State had as many Q1 wins as both of them combined. OSU should have been in before either of them.

Stop letting these teams playing unbalanced schedules from meh conferences pretend that there are no weeks off in Conference play. They inflate their wins playing the dog **** at the bottom and skipping as many games from the top as possible. And any team that lost to Minnesota this year should have been automatically discounted considered trash this year as well.

B1G We are not the same.

OSU, should have definitely been in. Disgusting snub. It is all conference branding

Here is full list

Nebraska (None)
Northwestern (None)
Texas Christian (1968)
Colorado (1969)
Rutgers (1979)
Arizona State (1995)
Georgia (1996)
Mississippi State (1996)
California (1997)
Minnesota (1997)

Also, if you include Big East, add DePaul (1987) and St. John's (1999). Big East is considered a power conference in basketball.
