Overall senior class ranking of Penn State lineup (by Earl at D1 wrestling)
125 - Suriano is #3
133 - Cortez is #12
141 - Guilibon is #3
149 - Retherford is #3
157 - Nolf is #4
165 - Joseph is #5
174 - Hall is #1
184 - Nickal is #7
197 - McCutcheon is #32
Hwt - Nevillis is #5

This is whole senior class and not weight class ranking.

What Cael is doing is no different than Saban or Calipari in other sports. He is choosing, not recruiting but by and large the kids are matching the hype, plus having post grad success. That's a credit to that coaching staff and the environment they've built. PSU had the vision and the money and Cael had the name to sell it. It's just another cup check for ISU fans that he chose to build it elsewhere instead of here.

Intermat has their annual article...didn't breakdown the teams like buf, but does show the AA.

It's good to see that of VTech's 5 AA's, two were "only" ranked in their weight class and another was 68th overall, ie not blue chippers. The ability to develop those kinds of wrestlers into AA's is what's been missing at ISU.

Our lineup was (in their senior class):
125: #173
133: #83
141: #5
149: #47
157: #80
165: #143
174: UR (I could have sworn Spoon was a top 100 recruit)
184: UR
197: #56
HWT: UR

Simmons was #31 in 2015, Boston was #31 in 2014

And this pretty much explains why ISU struggled so much. It all starts with recruiting and their classes, until the last couple, were very poor. Remove Meeks and the top ranked guy was Moreno who was never the same after injury. Can't wait to see what KD can do with what will be in the room next year.
