Hey Fanatics,
Here’s a quick update on guard Nikki Moody. I caught up with her on Tuesday night, and from the sounds of it, I really think you’ll really like her game.
Asked to describe how she plays, she put it simply, “fast.” Moody played point guard at Euless High School, but her quickness won't limit her to that role at Iowa State. She should be a factor at both the point and two-guard for the Cyclones next season.
Moody’s high school team lost in the first round of the playoffs this year, but it wasn’t because of her. This season, Moody averaged more than 17 points per game even though she was the focus of the other team's defense.
Moody – who stands 5-feet, 9-inches – plans on arriving in Ames in June to take summer classes and start preparing for the season. She said the one thing she is most excited about is playing for Bill Fennelly. The Hilton Crowd was second on that list.
The future Cyclone will wear No. 4 at Iowa State and is still undecided on a major.
