Why wouldn't the coaches get paid? Was this a "bonus" that was offered by MLB that they renegged on?

But I agree...classy move by the players standing up for their coaches/staff.

From my understanding, it's been standard practice for MLB to provide bonuses to players, coaches, and staff that need to make an international trip happen. The players keep saying that many things that have been promised haven't happened, and this (coaches getting the bonus) is one thing that cannot be tolerated.
