Sports movies nominations Selection Show Thurs 5pm

Lots of good movies on the list. It almost seems to me that we could split this into 2 tournaments:
1) Sports Comedies (Happy Gilmore, Slapshot, etc)
2) Sports Dramas (Field of Dreams, Hoosiers, The Natural, etc...)

I'm not sure there are 64 sports comedy movies.

Airborne. I understand if this one isn’t considered, but the final scene when they race down “The Devil’s Backbone” was pretty well done.

I'm so pumped to see Airborne listed, it's one of my guilty pleasure movies from when I was in Junior High. Another one, that deserves a spot, in my humble opinion, is:
Side Out

Anytime when playing volleyball I'd pull out a "Monroeeeeeeee Clark" reference that only my best friend understood.

You could also really nail down and get a mini tourney of the best “Scenes” in sports movies. Some of those are so iconic (coming out of the corn, the beast chase, Ricky Vaughn taking the field, the hook and ladder, etc)

Would be tough. That said, getting to a top-64 of sports movies was not easy.
