Iowa is going to be pretty bad again next season, so I’m not sure it really matters.
Not wanting to argue, but they had a winning record, beat a ranked Wisconsin team, and won an NIT game. 10 - 10 in conference. That probably tops what about 200 other teams did. For being in a conference that is all about football, they had a respectable season, all things considered. Just another way of looking at it.

I don’t see what they have done to continue to be a middling team for 24- 25.

Agreed, next year looks fairly bleak right now. I was only saying last year wasn't horrible, considering they were a top 100 team out of over 300 teams.

Pretty favorable schedule draw for Iowa. The 3 teams they play twice are projected bubble teams. Home draw includes a couple cupcakes (Minnesota and Penn State). Road slate is pretty difficult... The "worst" team on paper is Illinois who is definitely not done in the portal.

That seems purposeful. Need to get those bubble teams an extra win for that resume.

Real scheduling gauntlet they got in league play.

Double plays are Northwestern, Wisconsin and Nebraska.
ISU Double plays will probably be Houston, Kansas and Arizona or Baylor. Seems like a push with Iowa's double plays...

Oof! Glad ISU doesn't have to face that... We're lucky to be in the pillow soft Big 12. :jimlad:
