Well, at least we know. And I know it sounds funny, but I'm really glad he signed with AEK.

One of those things where it would have been cool to have him back and to see if he could develop but you are also excited about having an open scholarship.

Best of luck Tsalmpouris!

I'm sad to hear this news, if it is true (I'll wait for a Williams/Hines/ISU confirmation), but I don't blame him for making this move.

Best of luck to you, Georgios!

This tweet was posted 17 hours ago and no one on the ISU media has made any mention of it...
I was really surprised about that. Saw several tweets/reports and couldn't believe the news hadn't circulated more.

Good luck with your pro career big guy! Seems like most all his teammates really liked him.

Now let's go get the Missouri transfer.....

Shows how irrelevant the news really is. It has been known or assumed for quite some time he was not coming back. Good luck to the kid but this is great for the Cyclones to open up a scholly on another project.

Great news. Now we have a scholarship available for a mid year transfer. That kid would have never played at ISU. I'm guessing he would have been behind both Carter and Ernst next year. He's not quick enough to play high lol D1 ball and he would have just sucked a scholarship for 3 more years.

1 week before school starts. He hasn't worked out with the team at all. Probably the guy that needs to the most work with the team.

Consider me shocked.

Glad he was able to get a taste of the USA for a year and best of luck to him! He gave a year of hardwork to my team and he'll always be a Cyclone to me!

Wow there are a few ignorant comments in here. Don't slam the kid for picking what he feels is best for him. If you don't think he worked hard while he is here, you're an idiot. Best of luck to Georgios!
