Don't agree. We used to be a team that almost refused to let a ball hit the floor on defense. Very gritty team. We had a national reputation based on that.
We no longer play that way, despite having more talent.
More talent? No way, especially at setter, libero and DS. I do think the MBs and OHs are the most athletic and physically talented that CJL has had. Schaben is the best OH at ISU I've seen.

Christie built a nothing program to a perennial tourney team with passing and defense. We got stopped short of elite by those teams that had quality setters and decent defense, but fantastic hitters a blockers. We as good if not better than past teams with hitters, but it appears to be at the expense of what has been our core.
