Need guidance on 4 tickets to UNI game
It's been years since I have attended a game at Jack Trice, but I believe we will be able to make it to Ames for Labor Day weekend this year.
My group is 4 adults plus a 5-month old infant; I'm assuming I can just carry the baby into the game without hassle.
I would like nice seats, lower level, towards the middle. I have no idea if our stadium has chair backs, but that would be a plus. Can anyone give me guidance on the going rate for such tickets and best time to purchase? Craigslist is full of dealers and I'm seeing some really high ticket prices in other locations.
Also, any thoughts on: (i) bringing the baby; (ii) parking (we are staying at the Gateway); (iii) tailgating ideas; or (iv) how to make this an awesome day.
Sorry to drop in with these requests. It's been a long time and I want to maximize the opportunity. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Lower level, towards the middle... id guess about $100 or so\ticket. I know i had no trouble getting rid of 30yl seats for that amount, and itll only go up as you go closer to the middle.

Re: Need guidance on 4 tickets to UNI game
A friend of mine brought her baby to the game a few years ago, prob about the same age, he really didnt like all all the noise and he interfered with the mom having a good time even though we took turns holding him throughout the game. I'd try and find a sitter if possible, or maybe plan on spending a good amount of time out near the concessions.
There will be plenty of hillsides available im sure. But the game is usually very full for UNI games. If you choose to sit on the hillside, at least you can lay a blanket down for the kid and just relax a bit. I have 2 hillsides i need to get rid of for UNI and i will be asking $30 or so but will take $20. I just bought 2 hillsides so my brother can come to the Iowa game.

There's really not a bad seat in JTS. I'd say try and get something in the 2nd level around the 20-30 yrd line. Those are fantastic seats and would be much cheaper than something in the middle on the lower level...frankly, those seats are over-rated anyway. Second level has the better view.
PM me if you'd like..my cousin is wanting to sell his G7 parking pass for UNI.

Babies at FB games = Bad Idea.
I'm not a fan of anyone under 3 attending. Prefer they would be 5. Interrupts your enjoyment of the game and the folks around you as the kids/babies usually get restless.

buy hillside tickets for $20. After halftime you can sit where you can find a seat.

Brought my 1 month old baby to the first game last year. No issues-mostly slept. Baby made it to 4 games.

Usually plenty open on the east side. I sit west side, upper deck, 20-yard-line and openly weep at all the prime seats that don't get used.

Re: Need guidance on 4 tickets to UNI game
Great info and big thanks to you all for the quick replies. I'm thinking upper level may be an option, or possibly hillside, to help with noise factor for the 5-month old. She's a pretty chill baby, never really gets fussy, but if it gets pretty packed at the UNI game, upper level or hillside might have more room and less commotion. Unfortunately, sitter is not an option because I don't think the wife is at that level of trust yet.
Thanks again.

Off topic. Got hillsides for the Iowa Game. Will I have a good view?

Re: Need guidance on 4 tickets to UNI game
Okay, I'm seeing tickets in Section N, row 30 for around $55 each. Or ones in lower level similar location on field for $120+. Or hillside seats for much cheaper. Any thoughts on the best value?

Re: Need guidance on 4 tickets to UNI game
I'd say the best value is Section N. My season tickets are Section O Row 12 (one to the north, on the 48 yard line). The view of the field is great, the view of the new videoboard will be outstanding so nothing will be "too far away." $55 is basically face value, isn't it?
I've sat in the lower level before, and my opinion is if you're in the bottom half of the lower level it's more difficult to see the field as the action gets closer to the endzone. You also can see the sideline over the benches. The new videoboard will alleviate much of that, but personally I like to see the game on the field rather than watching TV at the game - save the videoboard for replays, graphics, stats, etc.

It's a simple game in which strategic beauty comes not from being surprised by some new clever trick, but from the sublime, routine brilliance of a master in his element. -

Any thoughts on the best value? I just checked and you can order 4 tickets from the university in Section O Row 18 for $50 each
