LUBBOCK, Texas - Head Iowa State coach Christy Johnson-Lynch notched her 136th win on Saturday, making her the winningest head volleyball coach in school history, as the No. 16 Cyclones (11-2, 2-0 Big 12) defeated Texas Tech (13-2, 0-1) 25-16, 25-18, 25-16.
Not unexpected, but, nice nonetheless. I must confess I didn't follow ISU or any volleyball when head coach Vicki Mealer (1985-92) got 135 wins. In retrospect, that was a pretty good record.
