If you really care about her staying, show up to the games.

Re: CJL to NE?
CJL can win a title here. Have you seen the recruiting class she is bringing in? They have a shot at the Final Four this year.

In any case, I made it to one this year, and one last year. They are doing decent on attendance, but I agree, we need to get them more exposure - we complain about wanting winning teams, and we have a team that could challenge for the championship in the next few years. When's the last time you could say that about men's football/basketball?

Re: CJL to NE?
I wouldn't blame her for going back home. I would do the same in her shoes.
That is a lot different from say....Sanderson or the Chiz....both turds in my book.

Re: CJL to NE?
I haven't been on Volleytalk lately, but I would say another name nebby fans should be talking about is Craig Skinner. He was very highly thought of while he was there - and has continued to be an effective recruiter since going to Kentucky.

Re: CJL to NE?
In the past, as others have said, CJL has talked about the fact that Ames is pretty close to halfway between both sets of parents. What has not been mentioned yet was that, either last year or year before, she was speaking at one of the coaches luncheons, and talked about the fact that she felt that ISU was now a "destination job" (it was mentioned on here at the time).
I feel good, as long as she doesn't say that she is "firmly entrenched".

Re: CJL to NE?
Pollard needs to give CJL a "lifetime contract" that he gave coach Fennely.

Re: CJL to NE?
IF Nebraska really wanted her, she would leave. I have no doubts. Her roots are there. That is stronger than any bond to ISU in my opinion.

Good gesture, but Bill can still leaves if he wants to.

If the day comes NU is looking for a coach, and we have done nothing towards a VB facility, I would not blame her.
They do need a place to practice and ISU could budget that. Finding money to build a place they can play will be hard to do.

Yeah, other schools have been able to do the smaller arena for vb\wrestling by just using old basketball arenas, its a bit harder for us since we dont have a good option like that.

Speculate all you want, but it means spit. Wanna keep her here, keep a top program here? Make a few phone calls, send a few emails/letters. CJL deserves a LOT more recognition than she gets.
Remember when Hilton was flooded and VB moved to Ames high. All we heard - and all that came out of Pollard's office - was how they were rushing reconstruction to be ready for MBB and WBB home openers. It would have cost nothing - I mean nothing - to add "and to bring VB back home to Hilton." Little things like that can mean a lot to a person with pride, and CJL has a lot of pride. VB deserves more profile and more support and if Pollard doesn't give it to her, we don't have to just worry about NE.
But, having said that, I would speculate that....
