we beat nu and they only fell to 3? booo
There were some mentions of ISU and Hahn during the USC /UCLA match last night. Fun game to watch but defense was terrible on both sides. They have amazing outsides but I think both are beatable by a good blocking team.
Cant believe ISU only went up to 19it and NU fell to 3. NU beat UCLA pretty handily. So guessing USC and PSU move up to 1iand 2.
Watched most of the PSU-NU game and Nebraska looked shaky at times and couldn't get the big kill when they needed it.
I watched, also. I thought NU looked bad. They were just bump setting the ball off the net, like 10 feet back. They're passing was really bad. How much of that was PSU, not sure, but they didn't look like a top 3 team to me. When was the last time they've had back-to-back losses, I wonder?
They've had back-to-back losses just three times under John Cook (2000-12):
2003 - Oct. 11 vs. Kansas State (5 sets), Oct. 15 vs Missouri (5 sets) -- both at home
2009 - Sept. 23 at Texas A&M (4 sets), Sept. 26 vs. Texas (4 sets)
2012 - Sept. 15 at Iowa State (4 sets), Sept. 19 at Penn State (4 sets)
Sound like NU may have lost some confidence in themselves.
Is the NE coach's daughter still setting?
she's the really bad driver, correct? I think she had sort of a hit and run a while back...
Nebraska has great volleyball players but lacks some athleticism...which is why i think they've (somewhat) fallen down the National totem pole a bit. And by their standards that means making the Sweet 16 instead of the final 4.
