So it's seems like random matchups, not #1 from conference A against #1 from conference B.

Seems pretty odd that the Big 12 would pick Nebraska to represent the conference...

So what's the big deal? Sounds like a little marketing for games that could have been set up anyway. It's not like teams from these conferences don't play each other as it is. Guess this way the conferences get more of the revenue and can build up the games a little bit.

Didn't they go undefeated in regular conference play last year?

They lost a boat load of talent and will be hard pressed to do any better than they did in previous years...probably finish somewhere mid to lower part of the Big-12.

I share this sentiment. In a multi-year package, strange to pick a team that is bolting after one year. I wouldn't think the Big12 would want to do anything to promote NU.

I'm surprised the Big 12 didn't request that we don't play a team from the Big 10 since the two conferences have the Big 12 / Big 10 series starting this year.

Nebby played WSU last year in Lincoln, so this game was already planned since Nebby had to make the trip to Pullman this season. Looks like an easy way to create a "series" for games that were previously scheduled. Let Nebby play in it this year, it may be one of the few wins they have.
