In June, Mays verbally committed to play for Houston.
In October, Mays changed her mind.
“I started thinking about the next four years and where I wanted to be,” Mays said. “I didn’t feel like I was going to be happy at Houston, and I just wanted to go somewhere I knew I was going to be happy.”
ISU felt right, she said.
Mays’ parents (her father is a truck driver and her mother is a school secretary) have even talked about renting an apartment in Ames so they can watch games whenever they want.
Maybe she can develop into our own version of Courtney Paris! I really like the way this class shaped up with the late add of Mays, she sounds like she might have a lot of upside. Thanks for linking the article.
