55-47 ISU after a Prins 3

Re: Bring on Michigan...
We're suddenly hitting threes and crashing the offensive glass. ISU looks really good when that happens.

Re: Bring on Michigan...
60-47 final. ISU fought hard through the first 32 minutes and played great the last 8.

Re: Bring on Michigan...
Loz with a double-double (13 pts, 10 assists). Bolte had 20 points on 5-11 3pt shooting. Pop had 10 rebounds and Prins had 10 points.

Re: Bring on Michigan...
We've had FT shooting woes this season, but we were 12-14 from the line today. It helps when our good FT shooters were the ones going to the line, though.

Re: Bring on Michigan...
Ugly game shooting wise - we are not the same team without Bolte on the floor. Great defense on Michigan's Reynolds.
Michigan is not very good, as I've pointed out. They are not as good as any of the teams we played in the St. Thomas.
Big, big game Thursday night. Need to avenge the blow-out loss last time at Carver- Hawkeye.

They played Xavier really tight. They do lack a pure post, but their international style I think is going to be tough for some Big 10 teams to defend, and I honestly was worried about our posts' defense of that today. I was very happy with our defensive strategy, and that BF took a risk and didn't to a whole bunch of zone/double teaming in the paint. Yes, they got 2s, but the defense took away the threes.
Hallie's fouls/Pop's limited minutes I think hurt us a little in the first half.
ISU held Michigan to its lowest point total of the season.

Re: Bring on Michigan...
What's with the bandages and pads on Lauren's arm and elbow? Got banged up in that three game series in the islands? Rough three games with Pop having what has to have been a concession taking into account the refenes to her dizziness.

Re: Bring on Michigan...
Jessica gave us some good offensive rebounding; we did not do well in this area as sometimes no one went to the offensive glass. Too much standing around on the perimeter at times with no one cutting through. I just felt we were not in a flow on offense.

If memory serves me correctly, Mansfield was wearing them in the West Virginia game too.

Fun game to watch, despite some of the struggles the team had in the 1st half. Took advantage of the ticket giveaway for MBB season ticket holders. Will definitely be back to catch a few more games this season.
