I'm guessing we've offered Maddie Manning (Ankeny) but I haven't heard that for certain.

BF tweeted that his flight today was canceled:
The flights canceled this morning were to Atlanta, Chicago, and Detroit. That doesn't say a whole lot.
Sounds like a good commit for ISU, being "one of the best shooters in Texas" and taken right out from Austin's nose.... And being the vocal/demonstrative leader we sometimes lack....

I have faith that either Moody (2011) or Blaskowsky (or both) will turn out to be a great PG. In the meantime, Mansfield has turned out to be a really solid solution for this season and next.
Re: WBB recruiting (2012)
MRed, what can you tell us about Taylor Schull?

All I know is what Google tells me:
She's a 5'9" junior guard for Mt Pleasant.
Her sister is a 6'0" freshman forward named Taryne Shull, who seems to be one of the better players on the team.
She's committed to play football at Maryville College: 5/7/2010 - Boyd-Buchanan's Taylor Shull Commits to Maryville College - Sports - Chattanoogan.com
Ok. That last one might be a different Taylor Shull.

Appears Sheri Coale is after Manning pretty strong.

Re: WBB recruiting (2012)
Thanks for the info, MRed. I did a little work myself, and she sure sounds like a good all-round athlete (v-ball, track).
Re: WBB recruiting (2012)
Taylor played for the All Iowa Attack this past summer. She impressed a lot people and move to the top of the Div. 1 recruits from Iowa. I watched her play against a Minn. team and she loves to shoot the 3 and looked to have some speed and good athletic skills. She plays point guard now but I think with her shot she would be a better off guard. I hope she becomes a Cyclone.
I also like the big post out of South Tama. At 6-4 she has the D 1 size but she has a bit to go until she is ready in all aspects of the game. She is only a junior so would fit in this class. Madison Baier is averaging 12 points per game and just under 10 rebounds.

Seems like a huge exodus of talent the last few years, exporting top Iowa HS players to Notre Dame, UConn, OU, Minn, Stanford.... And ironically ISU has three signees coming from Texas!

Saw both these young ladies in the Game Time league this summer in North Liberty.
Taylor played point for her team and played solidly. Held her own against Div. 1 players.
Madison was very impressive with her play. Can run very well and she can shoot inside. Stood next to Morgan Johnson on the court and appeared to be as tall. Has a mature body. She needs to really work on conditioning. Plays hard for about 8 minutes and then her body seemed to give out. It was during the summer though.
It will be tough to pull either away from Iowa City as they have played with and seemed to get along with the Hawk players.

Shull to UWGB. I had heard that we were no longer offering her.
Shull makes decision

For 2012, I am not aware of any offers. I'm sure there are a couple out there. There are only three scholarships left for that class (after the Blaskowsky verbal) and I bet BF only fills one or two. If Julie Vanloo (2011) chooses ISU, that's one fewer scholarship right there.
For 2013, ISU has reportedly offered Shaya Kellogg (Ames) and Jadda Buckley (Mason City). ISU graduates this year's sophomore class in 2013, so expect a fair number of 2013 players signed.
I suppose BF might opt to sign 3 or 4 players for 2012 to balance out the classes a bit. It'd make the 2012-13 roster crowded, but that would clear up in 13-14 after Pop/Prins/Z/Jess graduate.
