COWGIRLS
Anna prefers to play bigger posts - she's going to love OSU. If the early roster is correct, Budke is going to start a little smaller lineup, but, Anna will surely see Vicki McIntyre, 6'6" fr. post from Omaha. Yori didn't think she would fit in at Nebraska, I think she would have made a great companion for Hooper. OSU looked good against OU over the weekend. They came to Ames a day early and I would expect a good, focused effort on Wednesday. OSU is a young team, starting 2 frosh, 2 sophs and 1 sr. Just looking, it seems the post-Riley team is strong and physical. 1-3 on the road, home losses to Duke, A&M and OU. They're 13-6 and 1-5 in conference, but, no bad losses. RealTime has us a 15 point favorite - could be, I think we're better at every position.

Not good to be on the bad side of the one who feeds you the ball.

Go Clones anyway!

Re: COWGIRLS
I thought this was a thread started by Tank. This would be a good day for a Tank thread after being snowed in and cooped up waiting for the game tonight.
Looking forward to CFH magic for the next bball season, Georges style. -

They say country music speaks to the heart. Unfortunately, it has to go through your ears to get there. -

I hadn't heard. It's possible there was something, but, she is described by current Marion player Jamila Johnson as their "go to girl". OSU includes in her bio that she: "Also considered Nebraska, Iowa State, Colorado, Colorado State, Creighton, Illinois State." I don't recall any conversation about her or any offers she may have received.

Here's an article about the feud. Looks like a case of parents gone wild -- the players themselves apparently got along fine on the court. Marian players' dispute over - Omaha.com -
Re: COWGIRLS
Nice find, mred. In any event, this frosh is going to be a handful in D1, someday. I don't think she has the agility to be a huge problem this year in Ames.

After McIntyre they aren't that big. I watch the OU vs Ostate game and McI. didn't look that bad. She is bigger physically than Prins but I think Prins should win the battle on experience alone. Young is a mobile a power forward with a good outside shot. Hallie and Pop will have their hands full kee[ing her off the boards. We should win this one at home by 10. I hope the weather clears enough so there is a good crowd. By the looks of things it could be awhile before I get out of my garage, lane, and road. Go Clones...

Re: COWGIRLS
i clicked into this thread expecting something completely different.
The one constant through all the years, Ray, has been baseball. America has rolled by like an army of steamrollers. It has been erased like a blackboard, rebuilt and erased again. But baseball has marked the time. This field, this game: it's a part of our past, Ray. It reminds of us of all that once was good and it could be again. Oh... people will come Ray. People will most definitely come.
