Here's my recap from today's Iowa State victory over Kansas State. I'm sure the Kansas State coaches weren't happy about it, but the Cyclones won because of their dominance at the free-throw line. Iowa State outscored the Wildcats 21-3 at the charity stripe.
There are notes about Kelsey Bolte, clutch shooting, Anna Prins and Lyndsey (Medders) Fennelly - who can still shoot the rock.
Ian - nice article on a great win by the Twister Sisters.
Please be careful with this phrase, though:
"Kelsey Bolte rarely fails to disappoint."
I don't think you said what you meant to say. It's a triple negative.
Think of it this way:
Kelsy disappoints -- obviously negative.
Kelsy rarely disappoints -- positive (double negative)
Kelsy rarely fails to disappoint -- she almost always disappoints (triple negative)
It was clear from the context that this is not what you meant.
I know, I know; I am nitpicking. Keep up the good work. We appreciate your contributions to CF!
"There are five real good recruits in the state. We got three of them. One couldn’t get into school, and the other went to (the University of) Iowa...which is about the same thing." - Coach Johnny Orr
