Canisius went 0-12 behind the arc tonight, ending their streak at 510 games. I think ISU is currently at 509.

ISU is currently at 509. If they make one tonight to tie it, they have the chance to break the record on national TV Monday night.

what is that like 14-15 seasons? do you know the last game we failed to make one?

ISU would have likely passed them this season anyway. The Canisius streak started more than a year before ISU's, but ISU kept getting closer by playing more postseason games most seasons. ISU briefly passed them earlier in the season strictly because of the way the schedule fell. If ISU and Canisius played the bare minimum number of games (one conf tourney game, no other postseason), they would have ended this season tied. ISU is likely to play at least two more games than that, and Canisius (8-18) is not likely to play more than the minimum.

The last game without one was late in the 94-95 season. I have the date somewhere, but it isn't in front of me. That was the season before Fennelly became coach.

that was back when there where more players/coachs/refs than fans in the stands

2/15/95 at Missouri. Didn't even attempt one.

Had that situation kept going, I thought we should put them on the schedule and try to end their streak ourselves! Wonder if that was ever considered?

Yes, it could have back-fired, too.
