ISU would have likely passed them this season anyway. The Canisius streak started more than a year before ISU's, but ISU kept getting closer by playing more postseason games most seasons. ISU briefly passed them earlier in the season strictly because of the way the schedule fell. If ISU and Canisius played the bare minimum number of games (one conf tourney game, no other postseason), they would have ended this season tied. ISU is likely to play at least two more games than that, and Canisius (8-18) is not likely to play more than the minimum.
