I would think the B12 is a better bball league, so it may help recruiting. I do not think gals want to play in Athens or Tuscaloosa.
You mean when they leave, not if.
FWIW Tyra White was originally headed to LSU in the SEC before a coaching change. She ended up at aTm. Danielle Adams was originally committed to MU, but was a non-qualifier so went to juco in St. Louis area, and ended up with White at aTm.
Unless Robin turns MU into a winner quickly in the SEC, KC should continue to be fertile ground for us.
we will continue to recruit well in Missouri. Kansas city is where we are strongest and I think we will continue that despite their defection
The fact the KU is just 30 miles away will keep KC in play for no matter what happens to the tourney.
I maybe talking out of ignorance but I think the factors that motivate female athletes might not be the same as those as men. I think women gravitate more to the holistic programs. That is they look towards the school that offers them the best as a whole, i.e. academics, tradition, culture, and team vibe.
The two teams coming into the B12 are much better than Mizzou. Losing A&M hurts, but WVU and TCU are quality teams. I don't think we'll see a whole lot of drop in the conference.
As for recruiting, Mizzou hasn't recruited KC well for several years, so as others have said this should help us recruit there. Taking A&M out of the equation really does help since they won't be playing in Missouri anymore.
SEC plays a strange schedule, they have one team who is always their protected rival. Example Vandy and Tennessee always play a home and home, and they have one other team they play twice, which I believe rotates. I guess it will depend if MU and aTm are protected rivals.
I was there and saw both of those games, WVU is a carbon copy of aTm, rough and physical. TCU is physical, but not nearly as physical at aTm.
TCU also has Whitney Williams eligible this year and will be back in the Big 12 next year.
