They were actually top college players, such as Dell Donne and Skylar Diggins. But I imagine representing the USA, there is probably a long list of things you can't do that they make you sign off on.

    What's next?

Hopefully the team can rally and get enough conference wins to get an NCAA bid. Hosting the first two rounds in Ames and having a regional in Des Moines would be a huge fail if we miss the NCAA. That path to the NCAA got a lot harder (IMHO) since our way to the NCAA will be through defense and Jesse is our best defender. They will have to turn to Cole now for some of those tough assignments but she isn’t going to score. The idea that Williamson will just fill the void is nice spin but she isn’t, at this point anyway, the defensive player that Schroll is nor the rebounder. The stops, hustle saves, points and rebounds lost have to come from somewhere and that might have to be Hallie at least for the points and boards.

I really hate the situation this puts us in.

Not to mention, I don't think Cole will play much in the near future. We really don't know the nature of her elbow injury.
