Terrible choice. She was coming down with 5 seconds left. You have to get a play off.

Absolutely robbed by those officials. They shouldn't be allowed to work in this league again. They can go SEC with the Aggies. How they could miss the hack on HC is mind boggling.

Just totally heartbreaking. So close. Ugh

Worst officiating I have ever seen.

Re: ***Official ISU vs TAMU Gameday Thread***
Still, ISU played very well today for the third game in a row. This would have been a huge win, but at least ISU has three of the four A&M/Baylor games out of the way now.

Unfortunate loss for the girls today. It was a great game to watch. I'm glad Brynn was able to get back on the floor. For not knowing how much she would play, she did great! A&M's press was tough to overcome. We strated to figure it out towards the end of the first half -- yes, they also had three key players in foul trouble (White, Carter, Gilbert).
It was a very physical game practically the whole time. From what I saw, both teams were exhausted in the end.
The Cyclones played a good game today, probably what makes the loss feel so bad. A much better game than the last outing with Texas A&M.

She's pretty much a media whore who (nearly) only does games that will be on national tv.
Kantner was at our game at the Well for the 2nd round NCAA game against Rutgers a few years back. Rutgers center Kia Vaughn was shuffling her feel all over the court every time she touched the ball. I was close enough to get a dirty look from Kantner while I was yelling at her. She finally called a travel near the end of the game. But more often than not, she calls what she wants to call.
But, seriously, what exactly were the refs looking at when Hallie got hacked on that shot with a minute left? Clearly it was not anywhere near where the ball actually was. Pathetic.
We had our chances to put it away, but 1) couldn't get the whistle when it counted most, 2) waited too long to get Nikki up the court to make something happen, 3) couldn't get anyone open on that last possession with two seconds left.
On the positive side, we DID play well enough to win and proved that the game vs the Gaggies in Ames was a total fluke. Personally, I'm proud of the effort they made today. Hopefully they can put it in the past and focus on OSU coming up on Wednesday.

She could have been part of the problem but this is the first time we have had her this year. We are 0-2 in games where Lisa Jones has officated and 2-1 with Jesse Dickerson and he did not call anything on the block put on Nicki (that was either a block on TAM or a foul on Nicki for running into her) but called the block on Pop on the last play by TAM. The problem thiis year has been a lack of consistincy by officials. PS we are 0-3 with Bryan Enterline and he is supposed to be one of the best in the country.

Kantner has been a supposed "best" official for a long time and we have seen her every year at least once for the last decade, if not longer (like I said, if it's on tv, look for her or Lisa Mattingly). Enterline is terrible, as is Tina Napier, Cameron Inouye, Gator Parish. I could go on and on. Kantner and Napier both officiated the national championship game between A&M and ND. So, someone thinks they're good. Not me, though.
Inconsistency has ALWAYS been a problem with wbb officials, so it's nothing new. Usually, we have the talent to play through bad officiating and still win in spite of the zebra's ineptness. The thing that bothers me is that no team should have to overcome bad officiating to win a game.
According to Fennelly a year or two ago, only one Big 12 ref has ever been not asked back the next season because of bad reviews by coaches. He didn't say who it was, not that the name would have meant much to most people. You can imagine how many bad reviews are given by coaches, but for them to only dismiss one over sixteen years of league existence is pretty incredible, imo.
