Homer report...Mizzou
I always like to go to other team's sites to read coaches comments after a women's game. This one takes the cake as the sportsperson is a real homer...his comments about favorable calls to Iowa State made me laugh...they could easily have been whistled for another 20 fouls. Mizzou women lose at Iowa State -
Re: Homer report...Mizzou
Yes they could have, they played like the KState men on defense, made the game very ugly to watch.

Re: Homer report...Mizzou
Smith and Brock probably could have picked up a foul on each end of the court everytime down. Robin's whining when they did get called just ticked the zebras off and I thought it ended up with her players getting called more.

"Robin Pingeton could be overheard on the radio broadcast saying she’s never had three players foul out in a game."
She's lucky she didn't have SIX players foul out. Aside from the three that did, three others had 4 fouls apiece. What a whiner! When you play hard, physical defense, you're probably going to get called for a s***-load of fouls. What, Mizzou picked up their first win since December 30th against Kansas last weekend and suddenly they think the basketball gods owe them another? All people who make sweepingly generalized, stupid, uninformed comments are idiots. (maybe) -
Re: Homer report...Mizzou
Let's see if the officials actually called at the traveling violations on Flores and Brock, the game wouldn't have even been close. I've never seen two players who blatantly walk get away with it time and time again.
After last night, I lost a lot of respect for Robin, she whined the entire game.
When 1/2 your points come from the three point line, you are not going to draw fouls.

You can’t just come into Hilton and decide you are A&M and that is the way to beat ISU (although they did almost pull it off with the help of our ice cold shooting).

It really is a practiced style of play. It finally backfired for Robin when ISU started making enough free throws, their players started fouling out, and the fans got even louder.
There was no way that MU's posts (other than maybe Brock) could play a real game with our posts.
Flores could have had 2 fouls called on her at the end of regulation. As MU shot the 3 that banked in, Flores took out 2 ISU players who both ended up on the floor. Flores ran toward the lane, fell forward into Chassidy, and let her legs swing out to the side, basically clipping Lauren at the knees. All in one motion, she put Chas and Lauren on the floor. One of them should have been going to the FT line to win in regulation. Just another example of the refs letting things go.
