And since bids go to teams, not conferences (except the auto-bid, of course) they need to be judged on their schedule and results just like everyone else. The Sagarin ratings (which love us and have us #29) love them as well: St. B is #23 and Gonzaga is #32. I don't see a single measure that would convince me that either should be anything but a shoo-in for the tournament.
Looks like we'll have to disagree. Creme has neither even on the bubble. They are still being rewarded for wins, not the quality of the wins. Their SOS are in the 80s and 100s. It's too bad they lost their conference tourneys. But they lost to teams that also had a lot of wins and who either beat them or almost beat them during the regular season. I guess my point is that there is really nothing to distinguish them as better than other bubble teams who have done as much by other measures.

Creme is all over the place, so you have to take him with for what he is.

IMO he has Iowa seeded higher than they should be - if you look at their wins, they have 6 good wins, and 2 bad loses (Bradley and UNLV). They were 11-5 in the 5th toughest conference, and don't play everyone twice. They only played PSU and OSU once. 7 of the 12 are in the top 100 RPI, and Indiana is 212 in the RPI.

We are 9-9 in the # 1 conference, and played everyone twice. We have 8 good wins against no bad losses. 9 of the 10 teams in the B12 are in the top 100 RPI. Missouri which as an RPI of 114 would beat three teams in the Big 10.

We play in a tougher league and the committee looks at that, and we play everyone in the toughest league twice. I still feel good about this team and the only two conferences left to worry about are the CAA (Delware) and the Horizon (UWGB). If either of those schools lose, it will cost two teams spots.

Maybe Creme is another Jerry Palm, hot shots of bracketology extraodinaire.
Looking forward to CFH magic for the next bball season, Georges style.

He's not perfect, but he doesn't have a lot of competition and certainly has a lot of experience with it. It's a great reference and jumping off point for discussion.

    Re: 3/5 Bracketology

Creme is usually pretty good at this, but he has never been an ISU fan. I have exchanged emails with him and chats with him on s few occasions, and he basically considers ISU a "get lucky" style of bball - shooting lots of threes and some nights we get "lucky." Also, he thinks that KSU is way overrated in RPI and thus our wins over them aren't as valuable as they look. Hello, KSU finished in the top 5 in the top RPI conference. Texas didn't. Kansas didn't. Tech didn't. All three teams of those teams made the top 25 through this season. And ISU and KSU finished ahead of all of them.

We need to be like the Big East where there is a whole bunch of bad teams so all the good teams make it in with winning records. Top to bottom parity in our league is not doing anyone any favors. In the begginning Creme had 8 big 12 teams in.

I think 6 is a slight, and 7 is more reasonable. Kansas and Texas deserve to be in.

And how ISU is last 4 in baffles me. Just goes to show that we have to beat KSU again, which beating a team 3 times in the Big 12 is hard hard hard to do, especially when there will be so much purple in the stands. Go clones!

As a guy who does not like womens basketball. I would go to watch us play tennessee just to watch a legend in her final years. I also think their are people like me that would go to root for tue clones and see summit coach
Nobody but HB knows for sure. You pretty much know nothing....like Knownothing would like to say.

I would say final year. As it is, she is not the floor coach anymore, Worlick is. TN hasn't had a recruit commit in almost 18 months. She is going to have to step down the end of this year for the benefit of the program as too many questions are swirling now.

Rumor is she is going to stay involved in TN athletics ala Sharp at TTech or Conradt at Tejas somehow, but I don't think they have that figured out yet.
